A rare Derby group of The Singing Lesson, circa 1765
Vibrantly modelled as a lady and a gallant standing upon a stepped mound base with modelled scrollwork and applied flowers, a playful dog standing on its hind legs upon a plinth, the gallant holding a sheet of music in his left hand, whilst pulling the dog's ear to make it sing, the lady holding the dog's front legs, their costumes brightly painted with floral motifs, 27.4cm high, patch marks, inscribed 150, No 12...
