A good Limehouse pickle dish, circa 1746-48
Crisply moulded in the form a scallop shell, painted in an inky blue with a small vignette of a landscape with a house on an island before distant mountains, surrounded by Chinese feather and ribbon motifs, a shell flanked by two feathers beneath, with two single branches of leaves painted in blue to the underside, 10.4cm long
