A very rare miniature white Staffordshire saltglaze bear jug and cover, mid 18th century
The cylindrical body applied with a plain loop handle and two arms grasping an unfortunate dog, the head forming the cover with eyes and protruding tongue picked out in brown, the fur simulated by applied crushed clay, 9.4cm high (rim chip, a few fine cracks) (2)
