A London stoneware tavern mug, dated 1726
Probably Norfolk House, Fulham, of cylindrical shape with a grooved handle, the upper portion with a brown dip glaze, sprigged in relief with an anti-clockwise hunting scene, palm trees, hares, houses and rosettes, including the sign of a plough and harrow, incised with the name 'Samuel Burrwos (sic) 1726', the rim mounted with a later silver band, 24cm high (minor base chips, the rim concealed by the mount)
