Of ovoid form with an elaborate pierced and gilded outer crown cover and flat inner cover, the borders in ivory, gold and bronze, brightly painted with scene of Highland sheep and a lamb on the edge of a woodland landscape, signed H Davis, the reverse painted with a small vignette of a flowing stream, 35cm high, puce mark, shape number 2048 (both covers of later date) (3)
