A Meissen two-handled tureen and cover, circa 1735
Of deep U-form with a flared footrim, applied with scroll handles with female bust terminals, probably modelled by J.C.L. Lücke, painted in underglaze-blue with flowering indianische Blumen and a smaller sprig on the reverse, between trellis bands reserved with flower panels and flower-heads, the cover with a pinecone finial, similarly decorated, 31cm high, crossed swords mark and S in underglaze-blue (2)
