A pair of Meissen Hausmaler two-handled beakers and saucers, circa 1725-30
Decorated in Augsburg in gilding, possibly by Bartholomäus Seuter, with chinoiserie scenes on each side of the beakers and on a scrollwork bracket on the saucers, against a burnished gilt ground, edged with alternating sun and foliate motifs on the saucers, and dots on the beakers, moulded with lobed borders embellished in gilding, the cup interiors and handles gilt, the beakers: 8cm high; the saucers: 12.9cm diam, incised / to footrim of one saucer (some wear to gilding on saucers and to rims, small restored rim chip and a tiny chip to reverse rim of one saucer (4)
