A Vienna cabinet cup and saucer, circa 1825
The cup painted with a gilt-edged rectangular panel depicting a woman supporting a child on a ledge holding a scroll, both with meandering gilt ribbon borders with foliage, embellished with white flowers, the burnished gilt rims tooled with scrolling foliage, shield marks in underglaze-blue, gilt painter's number 137 for Josef Geyer to both, impressed 825, 40 and 603 and incised 3 to the saucer, incised I and impressed 824 and 12 to the cup (2)
