A miniature Sèvres cup and saucer, circa 1771
Painted by Jacques-François Micaud père with a wicker basket of pink roses strapped up by a blue ribbon, surrounded by festoons and swags of red-berried laurel leaves under a gilt dentil border, the cup with the same decoration, 10.3cm diam saucer, 4.6cm height cup, date letter 'S' in interlaced blue L mark, painters mark X, incised [X] and Hb to the base of the cup and (very minor typical wear to dentil border) (2)
