A Marcolini Meissen white group of lovers, circa 1775
Modelled by M.V. Acier, the lady seated with her hat at her feet, holding a tambourine, her companion holding a wreath above her, his flower-filled hat hung on the tree-stump, a cornucopia of fruit at the rear, the circular rocky base applied with a flower garland, with a band of moulded Vitruvian scrolls, 19.5cm high, crossed swords mark, asterisk and II in underglaze-blue, incised crossed swords mark within a triangle, impressed E, impressed model number D.86 to rear of base
