A Birmingham enamel plaque of the King of Prussia, circa 1757
Of rectangular shape, printed in black and picked out in colours with a half length profile portrait of Frederick II of Prussia, clad in armour with a laurel wreath on his head, surrounded by a blue ribbon scroll inscribed 'FREDERICUS MAGN.D.G.REX BORVSS EL BRAND DVX SILES ET', flanked by military trophies, within a beaded gilt metal frame surmounted by an entwined ribbon, 8cm wide (fine cracks)
