A South Staffordshire enamel snuff box, circa 1760-70
Of rectangular shape, with tooled and gilded mount, the cover painted with a profile portrait of Oliver Cromwell in armour looking left, all within a laureate and garlanded reserved panel with scrollwork and diaper pattern in bianco-sopra-bianco, a classical landscape painted in reserved panels on each side of the box, 8.7cm wide (some cracks and chips)
