A Birmingham or South Staffordshire enamel snuff box, circa 1760
Of rectangular form, painted in colours with the arms of the Ancient and Honourable Society of Bucks, a ribbon inscribed 'Industry Produceth Wealth', two figure supporters framing a stag, above scrollwork inscribed 'Innocence with Freedom We Obey We Obey' and 'Unanimity is the Strength of Society', the sides and base painted with ladies in formal room settings framed with yellow scrollwork, with chased gilt metal mounts, 7.4cm wide (fine cracks, some restoration)
