Lot Details
A Rockingham scent bottle and stopper, circa 1826-30
Of bulbous shape with a tapering neck and stopper in the form of a white pompom dahlia, gold line rims, painted probably by John Randall with Fancy Birds in flight and on branches, 14.5cm high, Cl.2 mark in red (minor chips to petals on stopper)

Footnotes

  • The bird painting is in the distinctive style associated with John Randall and curiously this appears to have been executed in underglaze colours.
