Attributed to Bideford, of generous globular form with a short, pinched lip, the loop handle with a curled lower terminal, decorated in sgraffito with a radiant sun face on the front, flanked by a bird perched in a flowering bush, smaller plants and a billowing flag inscribed 'Harvest is come all, Busy now in making of the Barley mow, if you the Barley mow neglect, good Ale you cannot then Expect', named and dated beneath 'August 11th 1837, William Tucker', 25cm high
