Two Birmingham enamel snuff boxes, circa 1760-1770
Both of oval shape, one printed in black, the lid with a scene of a lady, child and a gallant in a formal garden, the front of the base with 'Fishing Party', the reverse with 'Pensent-ils au raisin' after Boucher, with metal mounts, 9.2cm wide (chip to foot, cracks), the other a deeper box, printed in sepia on the lid with a lady crossing a ford on horseback, on one side a couple embracing being observed, on the other side a couple in conversation within a garden, a lady holding a quill inside, the base with flowers, 8cm wide (cracks, restored chips) (2)
