An American sterling silver and glass assembled cocktail set
Comprising: a rectangular two-handled tray retailed by Tiffany & Co, and a set of ten cocktail glasses Redlich & Co., retailed by Black, Starr & Frost, New York, all engraved with "M.S.C." monogram for Marlborough Churchill, approximately 33 oz. troy without the tray.
height of glass 4 3/4in (12.1cm); length of tray over handles 17 1/2in (44.4cm).
- Please Note: The engraved monogram: M S C is understood to be that of Marlborough Spencer Churchill (1878-1947), a Brigadier General in the US Army, who served in France during WWI and then as head of Military Intelligence of the War Department. General Churchill was a distant relative of Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, during WW II.
