A terrestrial library globe, lithographed paper gores over a plaster base, seas marking currents, isothermal lines for July and January indicated, with a cast bronzed metal graduated meridian circle, original horizon bar with papered zodiac and calendar scales. The globe set in a later (1960s) polished metal tall tripod stand. Circular cartouche signed 'NEW TERRESTRIAL GLOBE. C.S.Hammond and Co. New York' 52 in (130 cm) high, overall diameter 24 in (61 cm)
- Please note, the stand which is cataloged as circa 1960's, actually appeared in the Rand McNally globe trade catalogs from 1893 and 1902 and is probably original to the globe.
