A unique, aesthetically pleasing shape and numerous small regmaglypts scattered over the surface recommend this Campo del Cielo specimen. Recovered high in the mountains, this specimen exhibits superior preservation to those specimens uncovered in lower altitudes, which tend to be rusted by ground water. First recorded by the Spanish in 1576, the fall of Campo del Cielo iron-nickel meteorites occurred thousands of years before. weight 460 gms.
