Rising vertically with dramatic horizontal overhangs, the the stone of a deep, glossy grey tone. Formed of textured limestone, Lingbi stones are naturally shaped and valued for their attractive coloring and intriguing patterns. Their mineral composition is such that they produce a metallic, reverberating sound when tapped. High quality Lingbi stones are rare after many generations of mining, and other types of rock are often dyed as counterfeits. The present specimen is completely natural, exhibiting beautiful lines, texture and coloring which are complemented by its alluring form.
