Oviraptorid Egg Clutch
Elongatoolithus Species.
Late Cretaceous
Central Asia

An egg clutch consisting of six oviraptor eggs, all exhibiting good shell, is seen in the original red-toned matrix of its locality. The presence of an even number of eggs may be accounted for by the fact that oviraptors laid their eggs in pairs. Measures 18 x 12 x 8 in.
