Woolly Mammoth Tooth
Mammuthus primigenius
Pleistocene
Siberia, Russia

Found in the frozen tundra of Siberia, where the best-preserved mammoths are found, this fine mammoth tooth boasts a large 11.5-inch, virtually complete root. The rich dark brown color and very smooth surfaces, with a noted absence of chips, also recommend this specimen. Mammuthus primigenius possessed the largest individual teeth of any animal that ever lived.
