Crinoid with Starfish
Actinocrinites gibsoni, Onychaster flexilis
A sea lily, or crinoid, displaying the finely preserved state of the finest fossils of this locality, conceals an unusual surprisea starfish entangled in its arms, possibly illustrating the symbiotic relationship shared between the two species. Exhibiting very well preserved stem and crown, the crinoid is offered in its natural matrix with four crowns of smaller associated specimens of the same genus.
Matrix measures 19 1/2 x 11 x 2 1/2in; Specimen measures 16in
