  • "A NEW & VERY REMARKABLE SET OF CINEMATOGRAPH FILMS". Kathleen Scott invites Sir Archibald Geikie, president of the Geological Society and a key member of the Expedition advisory committee, to a private viewing (with Lord Curzon) of the second series of Herbert Ponting's Antarctic films. They were put on general release, in two parts, by The Gaumont Company on 30 September and 14 October 1912. Kathleen writes that "they really are most interesting & beautiful".
