Footnotes

  • George M. Levick (1876-1956) served as the surgeon aboard the Terra Nova, and was a member of the Northern Party to Evans Cove. It is unclear if Levick used this set on the expedition, but certainly Down Brothers, (located opposite Guy's Hospital), were among the suppliers to the British Antarctic Expedition, and donated to the British Polar Exhibition Fund.

Exhibited at Scott Polar Research Institute from 1994-1999. See illustration on previous page.
