  • "THE TENT WITH THE THREE BODIES IN IT". A heartfelt letter from Edward Wilson's widow Oriana, who had travelled to New Zealand to meet the polar party only to discovery he had died with Scott and Bowers on their return from the South Pole in March 1912. Hooper was a member of the party which found the bodies eight months later.

    Provenance: Frederick.J. Hooper (1891-1955), steward and member of the Shore Party; by descent.
