A gold and black lacquer four-case inro
By the Kajikawa family, late 18th/early 19th century
Of upright form, the roiro ground with a light dusting of gold powder, lacquered on both sides, the top and base with a panoramic scene illustrating the Tokaido go-ju-san tsugi (the fifty posting stations on the Tokaido Road), in gold takamakie with details of e-nashiji and the interior of nashiji, signed Kajikawa saku with red pot seal.
