A black lacquer four-case inro
By Nakayama Komin (1808-1870), mid/late 19th century
Of upright form, bearing a fine roiro ground, lacquered with the dream of Rosei, the Chinese worthy reclining on a bench beneath overhanging branches, in gold and slight-coloured takamakie with slight details of inlaid aogai and raden, his dream of being carried in a palanquin in a procession shown on the reverse in gold togidashi and the interior of nashiji, signed Komin kore wo tsukuru.
