Of upright form, bearing a fundame ground, lacquered with a court lady of the Heian period crying over a fence with a pine-decorated fusuma at her back and a scene of flowering prunus trees seen beyond a verandah on the reverse, in gold takamakie with details of kirikane and e-nashiji, the interior of nashiji, signed Koma Kyuhaku.
