An ivory netsuke of a shishi and cubs
By Toshihide (Juei), 19th century
The former recumbent, her head turned to the left as she rests a protective paw on a ball, one cub lying at her feet while another clambers over her back, the slightly worn ivory bearing a light stain, signed in an oval reserve Toshinaga (Juei).
