Of upright form, the roiro ground with subdued mura-nashiji, lacquered to one side with a horse seen from the rear, beneath a withered tree by a stream, the reverse with two horses by the stream, in gold and silver takamakie with togidashi details, the inner five-case inro of roiro with stands of bamboo in gold togidashi, the interior of kinji, signed inside the cover Shiomi Masanari; with shibuichi ojime; and an ivory netsuke of a horse standing with its forelegs in a bowl of water, signed Shounsai.
