A black lacquer five-case inro
By the Inagawa family, 19th century
Of upright form and bearing a roiro ground, lacquered with three rabbits resting among Autumn plants, while a bird flies overhead, in gold and slight-coloured takamakie and hiramakie, the interior of nashiji, signed Inagawa saku; with an ivory ojime carved with several rabbits in relief; and an ivory netsuke in the form of a hare and leveret, their eyes inlaid, unsigned.
