An ivory netsuke of a shishi
Attributed to Tomotada, Kyoto, 18th century
Standing, its head lowered and turned to the left and its erect tail falling forwards over its arched back, the slightly-worn ivory bears a good patina and the eye pupils are inlaid, signed in a rectangular reserve Tomotada.
