2 volumes. 12mo (191 x 105 mm). 2 folding engraved maps. Original blue cloth with paper label to spines. Custom chemise and quarter morocco slipcase. Tape repairs and offsetting to maps, dampstaining to margins of map and to upper margin of prelims and first 80 pp of vol 1, light foxing throughout, some rubbing to boards, spine labels browned and scuffed.

FIRST AMERICAN EDITION. Laid in is an autograph note from Irving to Harrison Hall, dated May 25, 1869, regarding an acquisition for the Astor Library. BAL 10151; Howes I85; Sabin 35125.
