FIRST EDITION IN PARTS OF THIS SYNTAX IMITATION. All advertisements correspond to Abbey. Part 3 states "Second Edition" on front wrapper. "Both Rowlandson and Cruikshank are credited with the designs for the plates, the balance of opinion favouring Cruikshank but according to the advertisement ... more than one artist was employed, or at least a different engraver to the artist" (Tooley).
