Cyclist and the ram is a rare oil painting by Bruce Onobrakpeya, dating from the Nigerian master's 'Sunshine Period' (1962-67). The Sunshine Period was characterized artistically by a bright palette of colours reflecting the radiance of sunlight in the tropics, and also marked the beginning of his experimentation with innovative artistic practices. Onobrakpeya later revisited the theme of the Cyclist and ram in his various printmaking techniques.
