A Meissen silver-gilt-mounted sea-green-ground oval snuff box
circa 1730
The front, back and cover with a chinoiserie scene depicting figures by an estuary or harbour, within a gilt-edged quatrelobe reserve, the base with chrysantheums against a ground of iron-red leaves, the burnished gilt interior with a quatrelobe chinoiserie scene reserved inside the cover, 7.5cm wide, (minor losses)
