1969 Jawa 350 with Velorex Sidecar and PAV40 Trailer
Engine no. 192879
Take the entire family out for rides in grand style with this Jawa 350 outfit that includes sidecar and a mono-wheel trailer for a total of four tires on the ground and a carrying capacity rivaling that of a small car. Like the motorcycle itself, the streamlined PAV 40 trailer was built in Czechoslovakia and perfectly matches the art-deco styling of the attached Velorex sidecar, also Czech-made. All three pieces are finished in factory red and appear to have been together since new.
Introduced in the 1950s, the two-stroke Jawa twin in 250 and 350cc variants was one of the most prolific and well-respected Communist Bloc-built motorcycles, one of the few that could compete with the West's more complex designs. Particularly popular in the Soviet Union as a reliable workhorse of a machine, in all the bikes were exported to more than 100 countries worldwide. In 1976 Jawa would celebrate production of its 200 millionth motorcycle.
Formerly owned by actor and sidecar enthusiast Perry King and ridden regularly, this combination shows just 24,00 miles, which is believed to be original and accurate. Recently it was converted from 6-volt points ignition to 12-volt electronic, using new factory Jawa parts.
