    From the present owner's father-in-law, Albert F. Tegen (1902-1977). Mr. Tegen was the president and CEO of General Public Utilities Corporation. He would travel to the Philippines frequently for business as his company had close ties to the Manila Electric Company. During these visits he acquired a number of oil paintings by the renowned Filipino artist, Fernando Amorsolo y Cueto.
