Footnotes

  • As published in Images of the Mind; the inscription reads:
[Riding] a cantering donkey on a bride evokes poetic inspiration.
If the inspiration is just right, than an excellent poem will result, almost without effort.
Nevertheless this obstinate beast with intractable character makes me anxious.
I must take care to prevent a fall,
So how can I have time to concentrate on rhyming?
