A large famille noire enameled porcelain vase
Chenghua mark, 19th century
Thickly potted with a flared rim to the long trumpet neck and body of inverted pear shape flaring outward above a set-in foot ring, painted in the characteristic enamels with birds alighting on densely flowering prunus branches above garden rocks, peony and bamboo plants, the recessed base covered with a colorless glaze and bearing the six-character mark in underglaze blue inscribed within a double ring.
