A pair of tinted and carved ivory peacocks
19th century
Each perched with its stylized tail feathers gently curving to either side of a flowering peony branch and delicately rendered with intricately incised feathers and defined beak and eyes, one with a feathered crest to the back of its head of long, curling feathers and the other with short feathers.
