Marlon Brando letters to a personal friend, Eddie Sherman, 1956-1957
Two personal letters written by Brando, one handwritten the other typed to Eddie Sherman, a man he met on his first trip to Oahu, Hawaii. They are both rife with misspellings and blue language: "Thanks very much for the note. I just can't tell you what a fine fucking time I had ... When I finish the picture (The Teahouse of the August Moon) I am going to try to get back for a week or two ..."; "I'm playing a German officer in the Young Lions ... Monty Clift and Dean Martin are in it ... Its got the potentials of an effictive anti war story and I'm trying to put my best into it ... Say hellow to your boss and give everybody the finger for me."
