A series of letters from the photographer to the director. A 1971 note is written on the verso of a 4 x 5 inch silver print portrait of Margaret Case, the Vogue society editor under Diana Vreeland and lifetime member of the international best-dressed list who discovered she was fired from the magazine when two men came and removed her desk from the building. Two days later she jumped to her death from her 16th-story apartment window. Horst writes: "This photo of Margaret was taken in spring 1971 on her last visit to Oyster Bay."
