WITH A FINE EARLY ARMORIAL FORE-EDGE PAINTING featuring Gordon, Badenoch, Seton and Frazer family arms, with greyhound and Senator of the College of Justice supporters, flanked by rose bushes and birds. A loosely inserted note suggests that the painting commemorates the wedding of Cosmo George, third duke of Gordon [1720/211752] to Lady Catherine Gordon [1718-1779] in 1741.
