19-jewel adjusted model 979 movement with gold chatons and center wheel, bi metallic balance with overcoiled spring, silvered dial with minute ring enclosed by circular enameled roman numeral bezel, blued shaped arrow hands, subsidiary seconds, monogrammed circular case within pierced tonneau frame with hinged lugs, case, dial and movement signed 28mm.

  • Hamilton introduced the 6/0 size model 979 movement in 1928, beginning with serial number 2900001. The early production, such as the present example, employed gold jewel settings (chatons), but by 1929, the movement was being made with less expensive friction set jewels.
