27-jewel Cal. 1790 manually wound movement adjusted to temperature and isochronism, polished steel tourbillon carriage in the form of a Maltese Cross incorporating a gold seconds hand, right angle lever with monometallic balance and overcoiled spring, partly fluted silvered tonneau dial with eccentric tapered gold baton numerals, aperture to view tourbillon, subsidiary date ring and power reserve indication, within a polished molded tonneau case with glazed back secured by six screws, maker's leather strap and gold buckle with tag, together with original packaging, fitted brass bound wood display box, folding loupe, calendar setting pen, polishing cloth, guarantee, instructions and literature in leather loose leaf binder, case, dial and movement signed. 36mm

    In 2000, Vacheron Constantin launched the Malte Tourbillon Tonneau as the cornerstone of its new Malte Collection. The watch was designed from the ground up with a tonneau shape movement to match the case. The watch features a massive Tourbillon carriage with bridges in the shape of the Maltese cross, the symbol of this prestigious Manufacture.
