Depicting Cupid rising from a cloud to embrace Venus standing before a brazier, on shaped oblong base applied with beading above a frieze depicting putti at play, white enamel dial with roman chapters, associated blued Breguet hands, possibly associated movement, now signed Louis Berthoud à Paris, with circular plates, anchor escapement with thread suspended pendulum (lacking), striking the hour and half hour on bell by means of a crossed out count wheel 38cm (15 in.) high
