A Louis XVI ormolu and biscuit porcelain mounted white and black marble portico clock

The paneled rectangular base raised on toupie feet inset with ormolu panels of foliage, the rectangular columns rising from applied ormolu floral wreaths enclosing classical biscuit cameos, the shafts with ormolu trophies of Apollo, the capitals linked by a swag of grape vines enhanced with cameo, the clock flanked on either side by lyres entwined with vines and surmounted by an urn, white enamel dial with arabic chapters, pierced gilt hands, circular movement with thread suspended Apollo mask pendulum, anchor escapement, striking the hour and half hour on a bell by means of a count wheel. 21½ in.
