The lid decorated with a bamboo trellis entwined by blossoming and fruiting gourd vines rendered in gold and silver hiramakie, takamakie, e-nashiji and mother-of-pearl inlay, the nashiji interior with further lacquer decoration of reeds and posts along a stream and a removable armature centered by an inkstone below an oval silver-washed suiteki incised with a landscape (sun struck).
